Surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve that features a cascading waterfall, the Waterval Country Lodge in Tulbagh is certainly a stunnnig venue for a corporate event. The Events Draping Co. was there to set up in their conference room on behalf of United Exports of Paarl. The draping team draped all four wall of the venue in smart black lining fabric and the uplighters were provided by AV Direct of Cape Town.
Gala Dinner at Milnerton Golf Course, Cape Town

The Milnerton Golf Club in Cape Town boasts a spectacular view across Table Bay with a picture-postcard view of the iconic Table Mountain. The Club’s main venue shows off this vista to perfection and it hosts events all year round. It is particulary suited to corporate events. On behalf of Hot Shot Events Management, the draping team were there to set up for a corporate event. The walls were draped in white, with idigo blue accents, and then highlighted with fairy lilghts. The spectacular view through the windows was left open. Golf, it seems, is not the only fun you can have at Milnerton!
Bat Mitzvah at Chabad Centre, Sea Point, Cape Town

For this important and happy commemoration, the events draping team was at the Chabad Centre in the heart of Sea Point in Cape Town. On behalf of event planners Solo Concepts, they created a backdrop against the far wall and then draped a series of deep looping strips in the ceiling in white organza fabric, which fell gently to the floor. The effect was light and wave-like, perfect for a young woman’s summer’s Bat Mitzvah celebration by the sea!
Spring Wedding, Molenvliet Wine Estate, Stellenbosch

On a glorious summer’s day, the wonderful Meagan Oosthuizen Wedding & Events Planner created magic at the reception venue at Molenvliet Wine Estate. High winds meant she had to switch plans and move the wedding dinner from the exposed verranda to the intimate courtyard. And how well it all turned out! With floral bouquets woven into the feature draping on the courtyard’s pillars and strip draping across the beams to afford shade, The Events Draping Co. team set about their work and the guests were able to relax, celebrate and enjoy the happy occasion.
Photoshoot in Kloof Street, Cape Town

Rich reds and burgundies were the flavour of the day at a recent photoshoot in Cape Town’s trendy Kloof Street. On behalf of event organisers Scape Events, the draping team created a vibrant backdrop for the décor elements to be shown to best advantage. By using the volume and weight of velour fabric the walls of the venue were transformed into a fine chamber.
Autumn Wedding at Lourensford Wine Estate, Somerset West

The beautiful wedding venue of Laurent at Lourensford Wine Estate, with its high ceiling and pergola veranda, rolling lawns and stunning views has so much to offer a couple getting married. The venue itself is lovely, light and classy, so can it be made even better?
By draping the ceiling with wide strips of white fabric and running fairy lights on either side of the strips, the space became a venue of celebration. The Events Draping Co. team was there on behalf of brilliant wedding planners Kelz & Co to bring about this transformation. The gorgeous pink and mauve florals by Bouwer Flowers were echoed in the decor elements coordinated by Kelz & Co and offset the draping wonderfully. It’s always great to see draping and décor working together.
Party at Doodles Restaurant, Bloubergstrand, Cape Town

Located on the Bloubergstrand Promenade, Doodles Beachfront Restaurant must have one the best panoramic views of Table Mountain in Cape Town. With spectacular sunsets across Table Bay and Robben Island just offshore, it’s certainly a great place for a party.
The Events Draping Co. team draped the interior restaurant walls in black fabric and created an intimate, sparkly vibe atmosphere by adding fairy lights for a function on behalf of event management team, Hot Shot Events.
Wedding at Brenaissance Wine Estate, Stellenbosch, Western Cape

The Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate near Stellenbosch is a place of peace and new beginnings, which makes it the perfect venue for a wedding. Cradled in the heart of the Devon Valley, couples can marry in the charming the Rose Conservatory Chapel and have their reception in the Main Brenaissance Hall.
On behalf of Top Shelf Events, The Events Draping Co. team draped both venues. The ceiling of the chapel was draped with light, criss-crossing white fabric swooping from side to side. Similarly, at the wedding reception the ceiling with its beautiful chandeliers was festooned with white swags while the pillars were draped in soft ‘curtain effect’ swags.
